I never used to be. To me, Riesling was always the strange looking German "stuff" and alderly relative drank as an alternative to a drop of cream sherry.
My conversion occurred on a road trip with some friends, from Melbourne to the Barossa Valley.
The wine in question was a Shadowfax 2008 Riesling. I just loved the crisp, taught, acidic profile and faint citrus.
Riesling has become a favourite summer drink and I am particularly looking to be able to age some myself.
