The cool conditions and late ripening of the 2006 vintage produced an elegant, medium bodied wine with aromas fresh cracked pepper and fragrant spicy black cherries. The palate shows elegant mid-weight fruit sweetness nicely balanced with underlying French oak texture and grainy tannins. The natural acid backbone provides good structure and length which should allow the wine to age gracefully.
