Organically produced grapes make this wine a bit special. Grown on New Zealand's smallest vineyard (0.3ha) this wine is very hard to come by - producing only 1 - 2 barrels a year. Not every year sees a vintage.
Bob Campbell MW - Four Stars - Big, rich and creamy chardonnay, with attractive peach, mineral/gunpowder, sizzled butter, toasted nut and spicy oak flavours. A sophisticated style of chardonnay with complexicity, length and bone dry finish. The wine has power but delivers it with subtlety, and admirable trait.
Michael Cooper - Four Stars - Enjoyable now. The chardonnay is full bodied and rounded, slightly creamy and nutty, is a fleshy sweet fruit style, finely balanced soft and generous.
