The 2006 Reserve Shiraz grown on the red volcanic loams of the Hilltops Disrict around Young, opens with an opulent aroma of ripe fruit: plums black cherries and classic Shiraz spice. The palate is all class: fresh mouth filling flavours, silky tannins, with a finish that lasts for ages.
This is very fragrant, spicy stuff from the hand of Australia's shiraz viognier master Clonakiia's Tim Kirk. Huon Hooke.
... beautifully balanced with the focus being fruit and the secondary element complexity. This is a good thing. Especially if you mainly enjoy drinking wine with food. Tim White.
