Australian, grew up a stone's throw from McLaren Vale in South Australia and learned to appreciate good wine at an early age. Spent some time in Cape Town, South Africa and where I quickly appreciated their wines and it was there that I met my wife. She has family in the wine business so we're never short of good South African wine sitting in the rack alongside my McLaren Vale favourites. We live in Victoria these days and what was a hobby has now turned into a small business. We import South African wine into Australia through our company...South African Wines.

I enjoy wines that have their own character. Everyone knows that wonderful feeling of discovery when you put a glass to lips, you stop half way through the sip, your eyes light up, you think "wow, what's that?" and dive to the bottle to read all about it. They are my favourite wines.
