  • About Us
Chalice Bridge is a dedicated and passionate family-owned and operated Margaret River single vineyard, producing wines of outstanding quality and integrity, whilst always maintaining the highest standard of dedication to our customers.

Rated a 5 Star winery by James Halliday, Chalice Bridge sits in the top 12.5% of Australian wineries. Chalice Bridge is located in the world renowned wine region of Margaret River, which can be found in the beautiful South West region of Western Australia, situated 272 kilometers south of Perth, the capital of Western Australia. Chalice Bridge has established its 122 hectares of vines in an area known as Rosa Glen, which is approximately 16kms south-east of the Margaret River township.

The Chalice Bridge name comes from the bridge over the Upper Chapman Brook, which runs through the middle of the vineyard. The actual name of this bridge is ‘Challis Bridge’, but was changed to the ‘Chalice’ spelling to incorporate the drinking vessel known as a ‘Chalice’.

Chalice Bridge is a multi-award winning vineyard that continues to produce and deliver quality fine wines to consumers in Australia and around the world. Chalice Bridge has received many favorable reviews from some of the most respected wine critics in Australia, along with exclusive awards from the top wine shows both in Australia and internationally.
  • Our Area
With 122 hectares of vines, Chalice Bridge is one of the largest single planted vineyards in the Margaret River wine region. Nestled in the cooler southern part of the Margaret River wine region, Rosa Glen is towards the southern half of the peninsula bounded by Cape Naturaliste and Cape Leeuwin. The harvest at Chalice Bridge can be 2-3 weeks later than the northern areas of Margaret River, allowing the development of greater intensity and complexity in the wines. This later harvest period also produces clear varietal and regional characters in the Chalice Bridge wines with unique and seldom seen varietal characters also coming through. The vineyard provides breathtaking views across vine laden hillsides and spectacular national forest, with the undulating terrain providing a magnificent backdrop for growing superior quality fruit.
  • Our Winemaker
Chalice Bridge uses consultant winemakers Janice McDonald and Bob Cartwright.
  • Grape Varieties
It is here in the Rosa Glen region of Margaret River that the six main varieties of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are grown on the Chalice Bridge single vineyard. We also have some of the first plantings of Albarino (now proven to actually be Savagnin...) in WA, and produced our first vintage in 2010.
