I'm a newly arrived Brit living on Sydney's Northern beaches with my partner and our dog. I LOVE wine, particularly Aussie shiraz and NZ Marlborough, but have a taste for Spanish riojas and Argentinian malbec too. Oh yes...and a good bubbly goes down well too!

I love...
Fishing, swimming and cycling...although to look at me you wouldn't think I do much of the latter two! Have a great love of Lord of the Rings and more recently A Song of Ice & Fire (Game of Thrones). Cinema & Music play a big part too...not forgetting my partner & doglet.

Rants
The fact that we can't (legally) take our dog on any of the Northern Beaches drives me insane...so Pittwater council are in the firing line at the moment. Signage too...why do we have to have signs telling us to park at a 90 degree angle when there are painted lines that give us a bit of a hint. Council must think we are all stupid...or one of the councillors has a sign company. Grrrrr...is that enough? Or shall I go on...and on...I know, Grumpy Old Pom!!

Favourite Wine
At the moment I am savouring The Rocks from Marlborough...along with some of Dowie Doole's great Shiraz. Their Chenin Blanc is fantastic too.
In the UK I drank a lot of The Black Stump by Casella...a wonderful Durif Shiraz.
