  • Back on track and moving forward

    Posted October 21, 2010

It seems a long time ago, that last post from July.  Eighteen months of prepping, tending, caring, making, bottling, selling to finally turn the key in the lock and say goodbye to the Cellar Door for almost two months!  By the time September rolled around we were happy to walk back in to t...

  • We've done it!

    Posted July 7, 2010

It's been a tough slog these past few months and I blame a night back in April, while pouring over the stock report with a glass of something in hand, and saying 'Gee, we don't have much stock left; perhaps we can almost sell out by the time we go overseas in July?' And, minus a case or t...

  • A quick thanks to all the restaurants...

    Posted May 20, 2010

A quick thank you to all the restaurants who have taken Molly Morgan Vineyard on board recently.  Not only for helping us grow our business  but also for taking a chance on a small, family run wine business.  We know that there are a lot of other wine samples sitting on your desks and...

  • Thrilled about Rose results!

We're sooo proud of our 2009 Rose -- we've just been informed it received 4 stars and top of category in the upcoming Nov/Dec issue of Winestate!  (Enter happy dance here!)

We came over here via New Zealand where Simon had the fortune to work under Andrew Hedley at Framingham in Marlborough. Stunning Riesls and basically solidified our love of the varietal! I could probably drink Riesling every day and not get bored. Current continuous favourite?: Dr Loosen Dr L. Always good.

We're about half way through! The Sem came off a week earlier than expected on Jan 21st, and the Viognier a few days later. Riesling is still hanging out and we'll see what happens to it in the next couple of weeks as well as our Shiraz.

in the topic Wine Dogs- why does every winery have a wine dog? in the forum Wine Chat
We have PJ -- our star in the recent 'Wine Dogs' book. He's a 3 year old black & white American Springer Spaniel... with the brain size of a walnut (yes, it is true, he did chew through the ute's fuel line). He's very loyal and loving and ultimately determined to be friends with Bella the Cat... another losing battle here in the Hunter!

I second Stefano Lubiana PNs... yummo.

Also discovered Delamere PN when recently in Tassie.  Really great value too, worth a search for their online cellar door.
