  • About Me
right now is my desk, but sometimes it's my house, or a park, or the car. Lots of things can be about me really, since I'm quite active.

More About Me

  • I love...
Pinot. Being in the country. Filling in fields that make me sound like I'm on a dating site.
  • Rants
Overpackaging. Not just in goods, but in people.
  • Favourite Wine
    Pinot. Rhone Valley. SOME Shiraz.

Particular favourite makers are Lethbridge, Rockford, Scorpo and Rockbare. I'm not afraif of cleanskins. Really, I'm not.

Never heard of it! Sounds interesting though. I've seen another of theirs, Fat Yak that sounds like it might be a bit like Alpha but at a way better price!

Sorry everyone for coming in late and moving away from Belgium, and probably worse still promoting the brew from a big brewer, albeit the small little arm kinda twisted off to the side. What am I talking about? I don't know, it's Monday morning. Nah, I'm talking about Matilda Bay. Yeah, yeah, Fosters owned and therefore shit. Exactly what I thought until I had an Alpha Pale Ale on the weekend. Look how good it is, how little sense do I make? And it's hours later.

Hopped to high Heaven, I am annoyed to have to re-assess my attitude that big breweries can't do craft beer. Are any of the other Matilda Bay beers worth a go? I remember Redback from about 100 years ago...

A friend of mine has recently returned to Oz from a South American adventure and really enjoyed the Malbec on offer in Argentina.  Does anyone know of any retailers or importers specialising in South American wines so that I might help her?
