About Us
The RIVER PARK vineyard is conveniently located on the banks of the LachlanRiver on the outskirts of Cowra.Bill and Chris Murphy own and operate the property, which is planted with Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The Chardonnay grape vines were planted in 1994 and the first harvest commenced approximately two years later. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were planted in 1996 with their first vintage in 1999.
Our Area
River Park Vineyard is conveniently located on the edge of Cowra, in NSW. The climate is cold in winters with hot, dry summers, making it ideal for chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon grapes. The fertile banks of the rich Lachlan River allows the production of outstanding grapes and wonderful wine.
Our Winemaker
The winemaker of River Park Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon is John Hordern of Hunter Valley Wines Services, Muswellbrook. The River Park Rose winemaker is Michael Slater of Thistle Hill and Erudgre Winery, Mudgee. Over the years both winemakers have won many wine awards.
Grape Varieties
The grape varieties are Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. We grow these particular grapes because of the ideal climate, soild and rainfall levels in the Cowra Region. We have a low level of sulphites in our wine that gives it a distinct flavour in our wines.

Our brand is River Park and the wines sold under this brand are: River Park Rose, River Park Cabernet Sauvignon and River Park Chardonnay
Awards
Our wines have won awards at the Royal Canberra Wine Show. Also, received high rates in James Halliday Wine Companion over the years.
