Low volume, high quality wines featuring a Mourvedre(60%) / Shiraz(40%) blend from 50 y.o. vines in Central Victoria plus what are seen by many as the best Sparkling wines produced in this country '98 Brut and '99 Rose Brut. No retail shop exposure, purchase only available from Cellar Door in Nth. Melbourne. Other rare, aged and interesting wines available upon inquiry.
Our Area
2 h.a. 50 year old vineyard in Shepparton, Central Victoria, featuring late ripening variety Mourvedre (known as Mataro or Monastrel in Spain) the wine is made with great depth of tannin and fruit character which benefits cellar aging.
3 h.a. 25 y.o. vineyard in Macedon Ranges Central Victoria featuring early ripening varieties Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in this coldest of Australia's mountain climates. Produces wonderful fine Sparkling wines given depth and complexity through an extended ten years maturation on lees in bottle. Some of the most outstanding Sparkling wines produced outside of Champagne France.
