    I'm really happy that BoozeMonkey is starting to grow a bit now and that more people are signing up and getting involved, but can anyone tell me why there are so may glum monkeys on the site? 

     

    I use a few other networks like Facebook and that sort of thing, and everyone puts a photograph on their profile (even if it's not a photograph of themselves). I don't really care what people look like, but it feels more difficult to start chatting to someone without a mug shot or something which says something about their personality. I don't think Hank can really swallow half his own face, for example, but that photo tells me something about him. And Jambo... can his nose really be that big? 



    The other thing is that you can't see when someone comes online if they don't have a photo. And I know from talking to Matt that he's bringing in CHAT soon (I hope I didn't steal your thunder, Matt... hehehe) so if no-one knows you're online, they won't be able to chat to you. 

     

    Matt said something about a photo competition recently. I wonder if that would persuade anyone to add a profile pic? Does anyone have any thoughts? Is everyone on BoozeMonkey shy? Or just too lazy to add a profile photo?

    I love surfing. I mean REALLY love surfing. I love everything about it.

    The only thing I don't love about surfing is blue-bottles. For anyone who doesn't know, a blue-bottle is a blue jellyfish with painful stings which up bring up weals on your legs like whip marks. And there are never just one or two in the water. When they're there, there are thousands and thousands of them, so you just can't escape.
