About Us
Yelland & Papps came from the marriage partnership between Susan Yelland and Michael Papps, on October 1st 2005. Susan felt that she did not want to give up her surname entirely, so this way she is able to keep her family name in the business. Michael and Susan decided in 2005 to start making their own wine and were excited about picking small batches of Greenock grapes and producing their own label.
Both partners have worked in the wine industry for several years, and from different facets of the industry - posessing the skills of the laboratory and Sales and Marketing side of things. But more importantly, they just love wine.
Michael has lived in the Barossa Valley for more than 20 years and has experienced positions at local wineries, bottling facilities and Wine Technology Businesses. Susan however has only been in the Valley since 1999, growing up on Yorke Peninsula. Susan spent a little time in Adelaide then headed to New York for a year, working and studying at Windows of the World Wine School.
Michael and Susan now have purchased their perfect 5 acre property to expand their businessa and lifstyle with their two beautiful children Peyton and Campbell.
Since moving in January 2010 to their new property on the outskirts of Nuriootpa they have been able to fulfil all aspects of their business them selves and love every minute of it.

We grow, shiraz, cabernet and roussanne, planting up mataro in 2012.
We purchase from our growers, vermentino, roussanne, shiraz, grenache, mataro, carrigan and lots more.
