About Us
Rosabrook was originally home to a small number of Group Settlement farmers who pioneered the dairy industry in the 1930’s. Many of the isolated clearings they struggled to tame are now home to some of the Margaret River wine region’s prime vineyards.
Established in the early 1980’s, Rosabrook Wines is one of the few wine producers from Margaret River region that can call itself truly a ‘classic’. Rosabrook has longevity and proud history which provides credibility with both restaurateurs, retailers and consumers alike.
Rosabrook’s wine making philosophy under the control of the much lauded winemaker Brian Fletcher, is to allow the natural characters of the fruit to drive the wine flavours with minimal winemaking interference.
Consistently highly rated by wine writers, the Rosabrook wines have been receiving accolades both home and overseas for many years. In the 2008 James Halliday Wine Companion, Rosabrook was granted the coveted 5 star winery award.
A distinct focus on viticulture and winemaking, specifically oriented toward bring out the very best of each grape variety, is clearly demonstrated by what goes into bottle.
Our Area
Rosabrook sources it’s fruit from a diverse number of locations across the Margaret River appellation. The more southern areas are somewhat cooler than the northern areas and this provides winemaker Brian Fletcher with the perfect opportunity to marry the nuances each are area produces. The Margaret River wine region is renowned for its slow, mild ripening conditions that deliver wines of great intensity, finesse and flavour.
