Company Information

  • About Us
Corazon (Kor-a-zon) is Spanish for the heart, a name I picked while during harvest in Chile...Yes we love wine, not to mention good food, people and music. Cold beer is also good!
I (Shayne) have done over twenty harvests, working France,Italy, Spain and N Zud. The wines of Europe play the greatest part in the way we make our wines,Balanced and food friendly.
We are small but keen but team.
  • Our Area
We have our own Corazon Label but make wine under contract for 15 Growers. Much of the fruit is grown on heavy clay soils which tend to make rather plush and savoury reds and finely structured whites. Not unlike Bordeaux in soil and climate.
  • Grape Varieties
We get our fruit from contract growers in Marlborough and Auckland, but we are pretty fussy. The other contract work see us working with Chardonnay, SB, Pinot Gris, Viogner, Flora,Gwertz,
Syrah,Merlot,Cabfranc,Cab Sav, Pinot Noir,Malbec,PV and hey we make Rose too.
  • Our Brands
    Corazon Single Vineyard
    Production of 1200 cases PA.
  • Awards
Our wines sit in the 3-4 star range, good food wines. not chest beating monsters!
We do churn out the odd gold.

in the topic Wineries reviewing their own wines? in the forum The Suggestion Box

Folks writting your own wine reviews is like marking your own home work!

Unless a review is by an unbaised outside party (who knows what they are talking about) it's not a reveiw but shameless self promotion.
