About Us
We produce the world's first resveratrol-enhanced wines. Resveratrol is the powerful anti-oxidant, naturally present in wine-grape skins, that almost certainly accounts for the general health benefits attributed to wine throughout the ages. Red wines naturally contain 4-6mg/l of resveratrol and white wines just 1-2 mg/l. The Wine Doctor Resveratrol Enhanced Shiraz and The Wine Doctor Resveratrol Enhanced Chardonnay both contain approximately 100mg/l resveratrol. For the first time, there is a white wine that delivers potential health benefits equal to those of red wine. The resveratrol-enhancement process was developed by Dr Philip Norrie, also known as 'The Wine Doctor'. Dr Norrie is a busy general practitioner on Sydney's northern beaches and is also prominent as a wine historian specialising in wine and health. The two inaugural wines under The Wine Doctor label were released in Australia in late 2008 and gained world-wide public and media attention. The resveratrol enhancement process is protected by an Innovation Patent.
