Appearance Pale straw-like colour with flashes of green Nose or Smell Beautifully understated aromas of pear, citrus and some fruit blossoms with little spice hints from background oak. Flavour Tightly wound but with a refined textue where fruit and mineral intensity combine with delicate use of oak as merely a background character to produce a very long, fine and dry finish. Overall Impression This is absolutely world class Chardonnay. Delicate yet intensily flavoured, with a wonderful textural mouthfeel and the freshness of clean and pure acidity. Although expensive ( AU$50 ) I still believe this is a "bargain" when compared to other Australian or White Burgundy Premium wines.
